Louisiana closes out its 10-game homestand this week. The Cajuns meet Southern on Tuesday, March 16 and Southeastern Louisiana on Wednesday, March 17.
● The Cajuns are 4-4 on the homestand.
● Freshman Chase Traffica will start against Southern and Junior Michael Cook gets the call for the SLU game.
● After four weekends, Louisiana ranks 24th in the nation in average attendance with an average of 2,156.
Louisiana plays its first road weekend series of the season as the squad travels to Mobile to face South Alabama Friday-Sunday, March 19-21.
Wednesday's game with SLU (Mar. 17) will serve as one of two "Season Ticket Redemption" nights. Any unused tickets from home games No. 1-14 can be redeemed for additional ones.
Zach Osborne (2.08 ERA) has turned in a quality start each of his four starts. He ranks 4th in the Sun Belt in ERA and third in strikeouts (27).
● The USA series marks three of only nine games outside the State of Louisiana for UL this season.
Alex Fuselier carries a 12-game hitting streak into this week's play - a team-high and career-best.
● Head coach Tony Robichaux is only two wins shy of his 550th as Cajuns skipper. Robichaux, in his 16th season at UL, is 548-366-1 as Cajuns skipper.
● Led by outfielder Brian Bowman's nine stolen bases - which ranks second in the Sun Belt - the Cajuns have 40 steals in 47 attempts in 15 games. As a team, Louisiana lead the Sun Belt in stolen bases.
● UL is in its 33rd season calling M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field home. The Cajuns are 718-277-2 (.721) in the park, posting winning marks each of the last 14 seasons and a 225-84-1 (.727) record since 2000.

SOUTHERN SERIES (UL leads 42-22-1): It's an old series - 65 games old - but only six meetings have taken place since 1988. The Cajuns hold a 5-1 edge in games played in the Robichaux Era. Teams met in 2009 at "The Tigue"- first time since '05.

SLU SERIES HISTORY (UL leads 57-41): The teams complete a midweek, home-and-home series on Wednesday. UL is 13-6 vs. SLU under Tony Robichaux, which includes an 8-1 mark at "The Tigue". The Lions have won the last four meetings -their longest win streak in the series since the mid-1980s. Series resumed in 1999 after a 10-season hiatus from 1989-1998.

SOUTH ALABAMA SERIES HISTORY (USA leads 50-31): The Cajuns have won nine of the last 13 meetings and 22 of 37 since the turn of the century. Head Coach Tony Robichaux has been at the helm for 27 of UL's 31 series victories (UL is 27-30 vs. USA under Robichaux). The vast majority of the meetings have taken place since UL joined the Sun Belt in 1992 - 66 of 81 all-time meetings have come during Sun Belt partnership (1992-2009).

LAST TIME VS. OPPONENT
SOUTHERN (4/8/09 in Lafayette): Scott Hawkins blasted his 39th career home run in the second inning, tying Ron Robicheaux for the all-time career lead. Two innings later, Will Long drove in Les Smith with a double off the wall in right center to put UL ahead to stay. From the mound, Matt Lackie, Randall Bulliard and Luke Wagley all contributed.

SLU (3/3/10 in Hammond): The game got away from Louisiana in the seventh as the Lions pushed across six runs. With the bases loaded Randall Bulliard walked and then hit back-to-back batters and SLU's lead grew to 8-2. A Brock Hebert bases clearing double in the third put SLU up for good, 4-1.

USA (4/17-19/09 in Lafayette): The Jags took three straight from the by scores of 9-5, 8-6 and 7-4. Alex Fuselier, Luke Wagley and Justin Robichaux took the losses, though Robichaux gave up no earned runs in four innings. Back-to-back fielding errors allowed the Jaguars to notch a five-run fourth inning on Sunday and escape with the sweep.
