Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns football team will look for its seventh win of the season this Saturday when they take on Troy at Cajun Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m.

It will be Senior Day with 20 Ragin' Cajuns walking out on the turf at Cajun Field for the final time in their career.

The Class of 2009 includes: Luke Aubrey, Gerren Blount, Brad Bustle, Ken Dandridge, Hall Davis, Matt Dupre, Chris Fisher, Scott Hayes, Junior Jean, Chris Lanaux, Louis Lee, Dusty Mack, Geoffrey McCullough, Phillip Nevels, Kyle Pirtle, Undrea Sails, Phillip Walker, Jezreel Washington, LaQuincy Williams and Antwyne Zanders.

The Class of 2009 - which helped UL become bowl eligible for the fourth time in the past five seasons with last week's win over Louisiana-Monroe - can add another feather to their cap. Should Louisiana claim a win Saturday, it would mark the first time since 1993 that a Cajuns team won seven games.

UL and Troy meet for the 14th time with the Cajuns holding an 8-5 edge in the series. The Cajuns won the first seven meetings - all between 1946-52. Troy, meanwhile has won four of five meetings since joining the Sun Belt Conference. The Cajuns are 7-3 all-time in Lafayette vs. Troy.

Quarterback Chris Masson has 206 completions, leaving him just 18 shy of tying the Cajuns all-time mark of 224 set by Jon Van Cleave in 2001. Masson enters this week's game riding a string of six consecutive games with 200-plus yards passing and his 2,219 yards passing make him the first UL quarterback since Jerry Babb in 2004 to reach 2,000 yards passing.

Louisiana, winners of eight of the last 10 games at Cajun Field dating to last season, seeks a fifth win at the facility this season. That would mark the most home victories under Rickey Bustle and most since the 1987 team went 5-0.

Last week the Cajuns welcomed back quarterback Brad McGuire and tight end Ladarius Green from injury.

McGuire scored two touchdowns which included the game-winner with 7:16 remaining. McGuire is now tied with Masson for the team lead in rushing touchdowns. Three times he rushed to help UL convert on fourth down.

Green posted career highs with seven receptions and 131 yards - totals which marked the second-most receptions by a Cajun this season and the highest receiving yardage total since 2004.

The Cajuns have 15 interceptions on the season, the most since 1994 when they had 19. UL leads the SBC in picks and is 13th in the NCAA. UL is 6-1 this season when the defense forces at least two turnovers.

Linebacker Antwyne Zanders has tallied 98 total tackles and is on pace for 107. That would mark the highest tackle total since Damon Mason had 135 tackles in 1996. Linebacker Kelcy Dotson had 112 tackles that same season.

Troy has already won a share of the Sun Belt Conference title with its victory over Florida Atlantic last week. That makes it the fourth-straight title for the school, tying a record set by North Texas.

The weekly award winners from the Cajuns game against Louisiana-Monroe include Ladarius Green, who had seven catches for 131 yards, and Matt Desormeaux as the Offensive Players of the Game.

Green's big-play ability was evident all night as he recorded receptions of 29, 52, 22 and 13 yards en route to the largest receiving total by a Cajuns since 2004. Green drew two pass interference calls on the Cajuns game-winning drive, including a key call on third-and-eight from the Cajuns 38-yard line.

The entire defense was awarded the Defensive Player of the Game award. The defense forced three UL Monroe turnovers and limited the passing attack to just 91 yards.

Spencer Ortego took home his fourth Special Forces Player of the Game award this season. Despite the rainy conditions, Ortego was able to place three punts inside the UL Monroe 20 yard line and limit them to two returns for negative yardage.

The Scout Team Player of the Week on offense was Byrnes Tatford. The Defensive Scout Team Players of the Week were Jordan Kennerson and Hunter Thibodaux.

The Hammer Award for biggest defensive hit went to Jezreel Washington. The Kuhuna Award for biggest hit on special teams went to Derreck Dean.
