Miami University pulled even in the ninth inning and plated two runs in the 11^th inning to steal a 7-5 win over Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns in game one of a doubleheader at M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field.

Jordan Jankowski singled up the middle with the bases loaded to pull the Redhawks (2-2) in front. His opportunity was provided when Adam Weisenburger struck out swinging with two outs, but was able to reach base on a wild pitch keeping the at bat alive.

Jankowski also collected the victory on the mound as he tossed three innings of hitless baseball, entering in the ninth inning after Miami had tied the score at 5-all.

Jordan Poirrier blasted a three-run home run to right center field in the sixth inning to vault the Cajuns (3-1) into a 5-4 lead.

Zach Osborne retired the Redhawks in the seventh inning and Dayton Marze worked around a two-out single in the eighth and it appeared that Poirrier's shot would be the game-winner.

Miami stayed alive when an Adam Eaton leadoff single in the ninth inning led to the equalizing run.

The two teams will meet in the second game of Saturday's doubleheader at approximately 6 p.m. Taylor Hubbell will start for UL and Reece Asbury will throw for Miami.

Marze took the hard-luck loss for Louisiana. He pitched four innings in relief of Osborne and scattered five hits over four innings.

Osborne received his second no-decision in as many starts. He held the Redhawks to only one earned run over seven innings and fanned nine.

Poirrier was the leading run producer for UL with three RBI which came on his second home run of the season. Eaton led MU with four runs scored and three RBI.

The Redhawks plated the game's first runs scoring three unearned runs on a home run to left field by Eaton in the second inning. A one-out error by Poirrier on a grounder from Cory Klenke two at bats before Eaton's shot kept the inning alive.

A first-pitch double from Kyle Bostick to lead off the bottom of the third inning led to UL's first run as he would later score on a groundout by Brian Bowman.

Eaton tripled with one out in the fourth and scored on a single to shallow right field by Jon Edgington for a 4-1 lead.

The Cajuns reciprocated with a single run in their half of the fourth, getting a sacrifice fly from Daniel Nichols.

Louisiana took advantage of a misplay by Miami on a double steal in the sixth inning to keep the score at 4-2. Ryan Brenner and Eaton executed the steal moving up to second and third. The ball got away from Poirrier and Brenner attempted to take advantage, but Fontenot gunned him down at home for the final out of the inning.
