Excelled at multiple positions as a four-year starter... Played defensive end as a freshman before playing tight end as a sophomore. Had 58 receptions for 930 yards and eight scores to earn first team Class 3A All-State honors... Moved to running back as a junior and had 140 rushes for 845 yards and 10 touchdowns and 36 catches for 530 yards and seven touchdowns... Remained at running back for senior season, but also saw time at strong safety. Had 166 carries for 1,113 yards and 12 scores, adding 18 catches for 173 yards... Father (Jay) and Uncle (Jed) both played for the Cajuns from 1983-86
