2009 (Junior): Started the first nine games of the season at linebacker before missing the rest of the season with a knee injury...Placed fifth on the team in tackles despite missing three games...Was third on the team in tackles-for-loss...Had at least five tackles in six of the first eight games of the season...Established a new career-high with 13 tackles at FIU, also added a sack and forced a fumble that led to a touchdown...Led the team with three quarterback hurries...Named Cajuns Defensive Player of the Week twice during the season

2008 (Sophomore): Played in 11 games at linebacker, starting the season opener at USM and five of the final six games…Did not play at FAU (hamstring injury)…Tied for the lead in total tackles and placed 17th overall in tackles per game in the Sun Belt…Led team in sacks, ranking 10th overall in the SBC, and finished in tackles-for-loss…Led in yardage lost on sacks and TFL’s…Tied for the lead in interceptions and forced fumbles…Two forced fumbles (at USM, vs. FIU) also tied for fourth in the SBC…Had a sack vs. ASU with 3:54 remaining that led to a third-and-18, a punt and then the Cajuns game-winning touchdown drive… Also recovered a fumble vs. ASU…Posted interceptions vs. Kent State and MT…Made a career-best 10 total tackles and registered a pass break-up vs. FIU…Totaled at least five tackles in each of his final eight games.

2007 (Redshirt Freshman): Saw time at defensive back in all 12 games, starting at strong safety vs. North Texas...Ranked 10th on the team in total tackles...Made 21 tackles during conference play...Returned a fumble 40 yards for a touchdown at ASU – marking the Cajuns first fumble return for a score since Brad Franklin took a fumble back on Nov. 17, 2001 vs. New Mexico State – a span of 64 games...Made first career interception vs. Troy...Had at least two tackles in eight games, including a season-high seven tackles vs. NT...Posted a tackle-for-loss vs. Troy and at MT.

2006 (Freshman): Redshirted, did not play...Named Cajuns Defensive Scout Team Player of the Week against North Carolina A&T and North Texas.

Tatum: Had 150 tackles and two interceptions for a touchdown during his senior season at linebacker...Texas 3A Defensive Player of the Year...Two-time All-State and two-time All-East Texas...As a senior, was the MVP of District 16-3A and was defensive MVP on TexasHSFootball.com...Was a key part of the Tatum High squad that claimed the Texas state Class 3A Division II title...Ran sprints on the track team.
