Cajuns To Host Bowl Invite Bash

The Ragin' Cajuns Athletic Department will host a bowl invitation pep rally on Monday, November 21 at 5:30 p.m. inside the Leon Moncla Indoor Practice Facility.
The invitation will mark the first bowl appearance for Cajuns football team in 41 years with the last appearance coming in 1970 when Louisiana faced Tennessee State in the Grantland Rice Bowl.
Admission is free and doors open at 5 p.m. Fans are asked to enter through the front lobby entrance of the Leon Moncla Indoor Practice Facility.
The Pride of Acadiana, UL Cheerleaders and Ragin' Jazz will be on hand along with University President Dr. Joseph Savoie and Director of Athletics Scott Farmer.
The pep rally will feature a highlight video, team introduction, official bowl announcement and entertainment from the UL spirit groups. Fans will also have a chance to meet the team and purchase bowl tickets.
The University Bookstore will be on hand selling bowl t-shirts and hats, and Coke will be handing out free product.
