Women’s Tennis Opens Spring Season at Rice

Coming off of a strong fall season, the Ragin' Cajuns women's tennis team is set to open the 2012 spring season with a match at Rice on Saturday at 11 a.m. in Houston, Texas.
 
“The team is really excited to get things going after a very productive fall season,” head coach Greg Harkins said. “We have had some good practices and I expect the team to come out and compete against a very good Rice squad.”
 
The Cajuns had four players post four-plus singles wins in the fall led by Sandra Ahlqvist who posted a 4-3 record.
 
“The girls have really been coming together lately,” Harkins said. “Hopefully we will see good results from the hard work they have been putting in at practice.”
 
UL opens the home season on Feb. 10 at Cajuns Courts against Abiliene Christian.
