BATON ROUGE, La. – The Ragin' Cajuns golf team finds itself in eighth place after day one of the David Toms Intercollegiate as UL posted a two-round score of 61-over par (637) at the University Club in Baton Rouge, La.
 
No.16 LSU and South Alabama are tied for the team lead at 21-over par (597). Louisiana Tech (+27, 603), Mississippi State (+29, 605) and No.41 Tulsa (+31, 607) round out the top five teams.
 
South Alabama's Lane Hulse and Mississippi State's Chad Ramey share the individual lead at one-over par (145).
 
Seniors Brandt Garon and Yohann Vora both finished the day in the top 25 as Garon sits in a tie for 16th at seven-over par (151), while Vora is in a tie for 20th at nine-over (153).
 
Garon was one of only four players on the day to post a round under par carding a score of two-under par (70) in the second round. Vora had the Cajuns second-best round of the day with a score of one-over par (73) in the morning round.
 
Kelsey Angelle is currently in a tie for 48th at 22-over par (166), while Christian Verrougstraete rounded out the scoring for the Cajuns in 53rd place at 26-over par (170).
 
Freshman Thomas Strandemo is in a tie for 29th as an individual with a 36-hole score of 13-over par (157).
