LAFAYETTE, La. – The Ragin' Cajuns Athletics Department has announced the Nov. 17 home football contest against Western Kentucky will be dubbed Operation Blackout: Own The Night presented by LUS Fiber in conjunction with Military Appreciation Night.
Fans are asked to wear black to the contest in support of active and former military members. Halftime will feature a salute to the military including a special fireworks display.
Several branches of the military will be on hand to take part in the festivities including the Army and Marines.
For families, it is "Take a Kid to the Game," where young fans under 12 receive free admission to the contest. There will also be free McDonald's Ragin' Cajuns Cheerstix at the gate.
