The Ragin' Cajuns men's tennis team cancelled its home opener against UTSA due to persistant rain in the Lafayette area on Saturday. The dual match will not be rescheduled.

The Cajuns looked to be in control of the match before the break as UL led in No. 1-4 singles. At No. 1 singles, Rick DeGroot led UTSA's Yannick Junger 6-4, 3-5, at No. 2 singles UL's Carlin Murray led Martin Ayala 2-6, 6-0, 4-1, at No. 3 singles Yanick Mandl led the Roadrunner's Tyler Brown 6-3, 3-2 and at No. 4 singles Damian Farinola led Joel Rubio 7-6, 3-2 before play was halted. Freshman Jarred Wynan and UTSA's Daniel Moser had each won a set at No. 5 singles (6-3, 4-6), while Ted Nilsson trailed David Kelleher 5-7, 1-2 at No. 6 singles.

Louisiana returns to action on Feb. 10 with a home contest against Abilene Christian at Cajun Courts. Fans can follow live action of Ragin' Cajuns men's tennis all season long @Cajunmenstennis.
