Baseball to Start Series with Southern Miss Friday Night

LAFAYETTE – The three-game series between the Ragin' Cajuns baseball team and Southern Miss Golden Eagles will begin on Friday, March 9 as scheduled. First pitch is set for 6 p.m., at M.L. “Tigue” Moore Field.

Officials at the University monitored weather forecasts throughout the morning and into the early afternoon and decided there would be an opportunity to begin the series Friday evening.

The remainder of the weekend series will stay as scheduled with a 2 p.m., start on Saturday and 1 p.m., start on Sunday.

In the event that series opener cannot be complete on Friday, the game would resume and be finished prior to the start of Saturday's scheduled 2 p.m., contest.
