Volleyball Set to Offer a Variety of Camps This Summer

LAFAYETTE - The Ragin' Cajuns volleyball team will hold three different camps for the youth of Acadiana this summer giving local youth volleyball players multiple chances to improve their game, head coach Heather Mazeitis-Fontenot announced on Wednesday.
The Cajuns first camp is the Ragin' Cajuns Youth Volleyball Camp which will be held on June 11-13. Registration is $125 and runs from 9 a.m. to Noon for grades 2-5 and from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. for grades 6-8.
There will also be an Attacker/Setter Camp and Elite Skills Camp from June 18-20 for grades 8-12. Campers can chose to go to either camp for $125 or to both for $250. The Attacker/Setter Camp is from 9 a.m. to Noon, while the Elite Skills Camp runs from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. There is an overnight option for non-commuters.
The final volleyball camp this summer is the Team Competition Camp scheduled for July 28-29. The cost is $250 per team (up to 12 players).
Registration for all camps may be completed online by clicking the Camps link in the Fan Zone drop down menu on RaginCajuns.com.
Each camper is required to bring and wear knee pads. Campers are also asked to bring a water bottle, towel, snacks and hair ties.
Ragin' Cajuns volleyball camps will be held at Earl K Long Gymnasium located at 500 E. Saint Mary Blvd. and at Bourgeois Hall on Cajundome Blvd.
