LAFAYETTE, La. – The No. 7/8 Ragin' Cajuns host Florida Atlantic this weekend in a three-game Sun Belt Conference series at Lamson Park in Lafayette, La. The first game of Saturday's doubleheader will be featured live on the Sun Belt Network (Cox Sports and CSS) with the first pitch scheduled for 11:05 a.m. CT. Game two will air on a delay. Both games will be available on ESPN3.com for those out of the Sun Belt Network footprint.

Lynn Rollins will be handling play-by-play duties, and Barbara Jordan is the color analyst for this week's Sun Belt Network Game of the Week.

Louisiana (38-2, 13-2 Sun Belt) enters Saturday's match up having run-ruled FAU 8-0 in five innings in the teams' last meeting en route to its 11th Sun Belt Conference Championship. The Cajuns revenged a three-game series sweep earlier in the 2011 season to claim their fourth consecutive SBC Tournament title by defeating the Owls in the championship game.

UL will look to extend its 36-game home win streak, the longest home winning streak in NCAA Division I. The Cajuns have not lost inside the friendly confines of Lamson Park since April 6, 2011 when they lost 3-2 to FIU.

The Cajuns have surged ahead of the conference standings and are ahead of second-place South Alabama by two games, however, UL swept the Jags earlier in the season and holds the head-to-head advantage.

The top scoring team in the nation is led by seniors Christi Orgeron and Katie Smith. Orgeron, a top 25 finalist for USA Softball's Player of the Year, leads the nation in RBI (73) for the second consecutive season while leading the Sun Belt in home runs (15) and slugging percentage (.853). Orgeron broke two conference records this season by recording the most doubles and RBI in a career in league history with 62 doubles and 267 RBI to date. The senior broke the conference single-season RBI record in 2011 by recording 101 RBI to lead the nation while becoming one of only four players in NCAA history to record at least 100 RBI in a season.

Smith leads the league in hits (57) and batting average (.422) and has moved into the SBC's career top five for runs scored in a career. She has recorded 47 runs this season to move her career total to 196 for fourth all-time in the Sun Belt.

Also leading the Cajuns at the plate this season is junior Nerissa Myers, who leads the nation in runs scored with 60. The junior boasts the best on-base percentage in the league (.522) and her 46 RBI and .697 slugging percentage are second in the conference only to Orgeron.

In the circle, the Cajuns are led by freshman Jordan Wallace (20-0), who is tied for third in the league with 118 strikeouts in 23 appearances for a 2.19 ERA. Reigning SBC Pitcher of the Week Ashley Brignac (15-2) has produced 114 strikeouts this season in 22 appearances and is tied for first in the league with five shutout victories this season. The senior has posted a 2.26 ERA and moved into third place in the UL record books with her 85th career victory.
