Softball Remains in Top 10 for Ninth Consecutive Week

LAFAYETTE, La. – For the ninth consecutive week, the Ragin' Cajuns softball team found themselves ranked in the top 10 of both national polls, which were released on Tuesday.
Louisiana (49-4) comes in at No. 7 in the USA Today/NFCA Division I Top 25 Poll and are locked in at No. 10 in the ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 Poll.
The Cajuns sit at No. 12 in the latest Rating Percentage Index (RPI) after a 3-1 showing in last weekend's Sun Belt Conference Tournament, where they fell to South Alabama, 3-1 in the title game.

The Ragin' Cajuns begin postseason play this weekend as they host their first regional since 2002. UL will open up against Mississippi Valley State on Friday at 6:00 p.m.
