2012 Lafayette Regional Tournament Information Page
LAFAYETTE, La. – With the softball regionals beginning this weekend, www.ragincajuns.com will keep you up to date with all news and information regarding the action.
Click the Tournament Information Page above to get a grasp on all four teams with links to their websites, scheduling, and ticket information.
Fans are advised to bring all ticket booklets to the games as officials will clear the stands after each contest. Fans will need their ticket to the next game to be allowed back into the park.
Season ticket holders may use their parking pass to park at Lamson Park. Cajun Field will also be available for parking on Friday, May 18 and Sunday, May 20 but will be limited on Saturday, May 19. Fans are encouraged to use the lot at Blackham Coliseum, which can be accessed off of Cajundome Boulevard.
Today marked the first day Stanford, Baylor and Mississippi Valley State made their way to Lamson Park to take part in their scheduled practices. Each team was allowed one hour in the batting cages in the Leon Moncla Indoor Practice Facility followed by an hour on the softball field.
Stanford was first to hit in the cages at 10:00 a.m. followed by Baylor at 11:10 a.m., Louisiana at 12:20 p.m. and Mississippi Valley State at 1:30 p.m.
Action will begin on Friday, with Stanford and Baylor playing at 3:30 p.m. to kick things off and the host Louisiana playing Mississippi Valley State at 6:00 p.m.
