UL Football Television Schedule Announced

LAFAYETTE, La. -- At least 10 of the 12 Ragin' Cajuns regular season football games will be televised during the 2012 season. The schedule was announced on Thursday, the first day of preseason practice for UL.
The television schedule includes two games on ESPN2, three televised on the Ragin' Cajuns Network, one game as part of the Sun Belt and as many as nine games on ESPN3, ESPN's online platform. In addition, the games at Oklahoma State (Sept. 15) and Florida (Nov. 10) will both be televised by the host school' respective conferences with networks being determined two weeks before the game.

Sept. 8: at Troy (ESPN3)
Sept. 15: at Oklahoma State (Big 12 TV TBA)
Sept. 29: FIU (ESPN3)
Oct. 6: Tulane (RCN & ESPN3)
Oct. 16: at North Texas (ESPN2)
Oct. 23: Arkansas State (ESPN2)
Nov. 3: at La.-Monroe (Sun Belt Network, ESPN3)
Nov. 10: at Florida (SEC TV TBA, ESPN3)
Nov. 24: South Alabama (RCN & ESPN3)
“This says a lot about how far the Ragin' Cajuns football program has come in a short time,” head coach Mark Hudspeth said. “To have so many of our games selected for television and to have ESPN add them to the ESPN3 platform is truly appreciated.
“This will be great for our fans, not only in Lafayette but around the country, allowing them to watch the Cajuns just about all season long. It will give great exposure to the both the university and the great city of Lafayette,” Hudspeth added.
The three games on the Ragin' Cajuns Network will be broadcast to 17 parishes and almost 500,000 households throughout Louisiana. Cox4 will once again serve as the flagship station.
The Cajuns are featured once on the seven-game Sun Belt Network package, which is a joint partnership with Comcast Sports Southeast (CSS) and Cox Sports Television (CST). Each game will be available in 13 states across the southeast.
The mid-week games at North Texas (Oct. 16) and the home game vs. Arkansas State (Oct. 23) will both be available globally on ESPN2. The ASU game will mark the first mid-week home game televised on one of the ESPN networks. ESPN most recently televised a Friday night game vs. Oklahoma State in 2009 but they have never covered a mid-week contest.
ESPN3.com is the online platform that delivers thousands of global sports events annually and is accessible online via WatchESPN.com. It is currently available to approximately 70 million homes at no additional cost to fans who receive their high-speed Internet connection or video subscription from an affiliated service provider.
ESPN3.com is also available at no cost to approximately 21 million U.S. college students and U.S.-based military personnel via computers connected to on-campus educational networks and on-base military networks.
