Softball Hosting ‘Youth Day’ for Fall Game against Galveston

LAFAYETTE, La. – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns softball team will host Galveston College on Saturday at 1 p.m. for a fall exhibition match at Lamson Park. The game will also be "Youth Day" at the park, and is free of charge for everyone, not just youth.
In addition to the game, any youth in attendance will be able to participate in games before, after and during the game itself, and have the opportunity to win prizes. They will also be allowed to be on the field during the National Anthem, and can go back onto the field after the game to run the bases.
There will also be an autograph session after, giving kids an opportunity to meet the Ragin' Cajuns softball team and get autographs.
The game is the fifth game of nine scheduled fall contests, warming up for the 2014 season. Their next game is slated for Wednesday, October 23 when they take on LSU-Eunice, and have Military Appreciation Day.
Louisiana has one more road game on the fall schedule, when they travel to Lake Charles, to take on McNeese State at 11 a.m. on Oct. 26, before finishing up the home slate on November 9 with an Alumni Game, where they will welcome back alumni from the past 30 years of Ragin' Cajuns Softball.
