Volleyball Competing in Houston on Saturday at FAST Complex

HOUSTON – The Ragin' Cajuns volleyball team appears in a spring tournament in Houston for the second straight year when they compete in the FAST Complex Collegiate Invitational on Saturday, March 23.
The matches will take place at the FAST Complex located on 15400 Hempstead Rd. Admission is $10 for adults and $7 senior citizens/students.
The tournament features a field that includes 2012 national champion Texas, a 2012 regional semifinalist in Wichita State, NCAA participants Texas A&M and Central Arkansas, Big 12 squads such as Baylor and TCU and fellow in-state schools LSU, McNeese State and Tulane.
The Ragin' Cajuns are scheduled to play four matches on Saturday starting with a 10 a.m. meeting with in-state foe Tulane on court 2. The early morning slate wraps up at 12 p.m. against former Sun Belt Conference West division rival North Texas at 12 p.m. on court 4.
The afternoon session has Louisiana matched up with UTPA at 2 p.m. on court 5 and Sam Houston State at 4 p.m. on court 2.
Each match for the Cajuns will be the best two of three sets and will last no longer than an hour.
