LAFAYETTE, La. -- With multiple events taking place in the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns athletic complex on Saturday (April 20), fans are asked to take notice of several changes to the normal game day set up at Cajun Field.
With the Sun Belt Conference tennis championships being held in the Culotta Tennis Center and a baseball game being played at M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field, fans attending the football game are asked to park and tailgate on the north side of the stadium (close to Congress).
The tailgating band “Lost & Found“, which is normally set up near the entrance to the baseball stadium, has been moved to the north side of Cajun Field for the spring game. It will play from 1:30-3:30 p.m.
Fans will be able to enter the stadium via Gates C, D & E beginning at 3:00 p.m.. Gate A, which is in the southwest corner of the stadium, will not be in use.
Tailgating spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis. There are no reserved tailgate spaces for the spring game.
Concessions will be open on the home/press box side of the stadium. No outside food or drink will be allowed in Cajun Field.
The spring game is the focal point of a busy day.
Also taking place in the athletic complex will be the semi-finals of the Sun Belt Conference women's tennis championships at 10:00 a.m. at the Culotta Tennis Center followed by the men's tennis championship match at 2:00 p.m.
Following the spring game, the Ragin' Cajuns baseball team will host Florida Atlantic starting at 6:00 p.m.
In addition, a number of events are planned around the spring game, including a flag football tournament for Louisiana fraternities and sororities starting at 9:00 a.m. in Cajun Field.
After the game, fans are invited onto the field for pictures and autographs with their favorite Cajuns player.
