Women’s Basketball to Offer Annual Summer Camps

LAFAYETTE, La. – Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns women's basketball coach Garry Brodhead has announced two camps for the summer of 2013. The basketball program will be hosting two camps, a three-day “Camp of the Stars” from June 17-19, and a single day position camp, on June 22, both on the campus of the University of Louisiana.
All campers will get instruction from coach Brodhead, along with the rest of his staff, associate head coach Sallie Guillory, Jennifer Sullivan, assistant coach Deacon Jones as well as current and former UL basketball players.
The Camp of the Stars is for students entering grades K-8, and will start at 9:00 a.m. and end at noon, from Monday, June 17 to Wednesday, June 19 and is held in Bourgeois Hall.
The position camps are for students entering grades 5-12, and are geared to take their game to the next level, and develop the necessary skills to become the best player they can be. It is designed to work on participants' fundamentals, and make them a better basketball player. The skills camp will run from 9:00 a.m. to noon on June 22, at E.K. Long Gym.
