Ragin’ Cajuns Set To Tee Off At Miramont Invitational

BRYAN, Texas - The Ragin' Cajuns golf team is set to tee off in its fourth tournament of the fall on Monday as the squad heads to the Miramont Invitational held at the par-72, 7,174-yard Miramont Country Club.

The tournament gets underway Monday with an 8 a.m. shotgun start. The 54-hole event will feature 36 holes on Monday and the final 18 on Tuesday with another 8 a.m. shotgun start.

Hosts Rice and Sam Houston State along with Columbia, No. 43 Houston, Houston Baptist, Louisiana, ULM, McNeese State, No. 42 Southeastern Louisiana, Stephen F. Austin, Texas State, UT Arlington and UTSA make up the 13-team field.

Freshman Paul San makes his second appearance in the starting lineup, while Joseph Burgess makes his first career start for the Cajuns this week. Louis Kelly, Fernando Cruz Valle and Haraldur Magnus round out the lineup for Louisiana.

Live scoring for the tournament is available on Golfstat.com. The Ragin' Cajuns will close out the fall season next week as they head to the Moe O'Obrien Match Play Championship on Oct. 19 in Lake Charles, La.
