Cajuns To Host Galveston College In First Fall Exhibition

First pitch is slated for 1 p.m. Saturday at Lamson Park
LAFAYETTE, La. – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns softball team hosts their first fall exhibition Saturday when the squad welcomes Galveston College for a 1 p.m. contest that will serve as the team's Breast Cancer Awareness Game at Lamson Park. Admission is free to the event.
Fans are encouraged to wear pink in support of breast cancer awareness. Cancer survivors will be recognized before the game by being invited onto the field during the national anthem. Pink Ragin' Cajuns jerseys will be auctioned off at a minimum bid of $25, and pink Ragin' Cajuns softball T-shirts will be on sale for those in attendance.
Saturday is the first of four exhibitions the Ragin' Cajuns will host during the month of October. Louisiana will also take on the National Pro Fastpitch All-Star Team (Oct. 18), McNeese State (Oct. 25) and LSU-Eunice (Oct. 29) in fall action. The Cajuns will also host an Alumni Game on Nov. 8 to wrap up their fall home slate.
