For the Lady Generals, four players recorded a team-high eight points – Kelsey Thibodeaux, Taylor Maricle, Reagan Maricle and Bianca Harvey.

LSU-A hung close with the Cajuns through the first 10 minutes of play as a three-pointer by Kayla Morgan at the 9:23 mark evened the contest at 18-all.

However, Louisiana began to pull away using an 11-0 run over the next three minutes to make it a 29-18 contest. The Cajuns run was highlighted by six points from Fields with Veal and Alexander also adding to the spurt.

A layup by Reagan Maricle made it 29-20 but that would be the closest the Lady Generals would get the rest of the first half as the Cajuns took a 36-20 lead into the break.

Louisiana continued to stretch out its advantage in the opening minutes of the second period as Jaylyn Gordon knocked down the Cajuns' first triple for a 41-22 score. Wilridge followed with back-to-back layups to give Louisiana its largest lead up until that point at 45-22 with 15:59 to play.

LSU-A attempted to trim away its deficit with buckets from Morgan and Thibodeaux but Louisiana pushed the lead to 26 after two free throws from Alexander with 12:49 remaining.

Louisiana continued to hold a comfortable advantage the rest of the contest with the Lady Generals only getting as close as a 22 points.

While the Cajuns shot 46 percent from the floor, Louisiana held the Lady Generals to 29 percent from the field in the victory. Louisiana owned a 46-16 advantage in the paint and a 20-4 edge in points off turnovers.

Louisiana returns to the Cajundome on Monday, Nov. 10 for a 7 p.m. exhibition against Spring Hill College in the team's final tune-up before the regular season begins. The Cajuns will begin the 2014-15 season Friday, Nov. 14 at 7 p.m. against Lamar in Beaumont, Texas.
