Ragin’ Cajuns Back On Superdome Turf Prepping For Title Defense

NEW ORLEANS – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns football team took to the field for the first of three bowl practices in New Orleans area as the squad continues preparations for the 2014 R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl against Nevada.
 
The Cajuns underwent a 20-period practice in the dome similar to a normal game week practice. Louisiana returns to practice tomorrow at the Superdome with the addition of New Orleans Bowl Media Day to the team's schedule.
 
"We had a really spirited practice even after the night and day they had to enjoy the city," head coach Mark Hudspeth said. "I thought our guys woke up ready to go and attack practice, and because of that I thought we had a really good practice."
 
Players were treated with a trip to the NOLA Motorsports Park after practice on Wednesday. The Ragin' Cajuns also enjoyed a team party at the Shamrock and a trip to the New Orleans Pelicans contest against the Utah Jazz on Tuesday evening following their grand arrival to the city.
 
Tickets are still available for the New Orleans Bowl. Fans can order tickets from the Cajundome Box Office until 6 p.m. on Thursday. For more information call (337) 265-2170.
