LAFAYETTE, La. - Due to expected capacity crowds and the Mardi Gras fair and parades, there will be limited baseball parking adjacent to M.L. "Tigue" Moore field for the three-game series with Alabama (Feb. 28-March 2).
All fans with tickets and staff and media with credentials will be allowed to park in the grass tailgating lot between Reinhardt Drive and the Cajun Field gravel lot.
Gate one, which is located on Bertrand Drive, will be the only entrance available for fans who plan to attend games from Feb. 28 to March 2. Anyone planning to attend the games will need to have either a ticket or credential on hand to gain access.
Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance to avoid Mardi Gras parking charges. There are a limited number of tickets remaining for the series. Individual game and season tickets can be purchased at the Cajundome Box Office. For ticket info call (337) 265-2357.
Because of the limited parking spots adjacent to the Tigue there will be no RV parking or large tailgating spots allowed for the weekend. RVs will only be allowed with a pass purchased from the Lafayette Mardi Gras Association.
Fans are encouraged to use Bertrand Drive to access Gate one as other roads may be closed as the parades get closer to Cajun Field. In addition, Gate one is only accessible by right turn only. Fans that usually come from the Congress are encouraged to turn on Foreman Drive, turn left on Johnston, and then turn left on Bertrand, which will lead directly into the Gate one entrance.
Fans can expect slow moving traffic and congestion around Cajun Field, so get your tickets in advance, and leave early. Please direct questions or concerns to John Dugas at johndugas@louisiana.edu.
