Cajuns Baseball Moves Up In Polls

LAFAYETTE, La. - For the ninth straight week, the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns baseball team moved up in the polls climbing to No. 2 in four of the five national rankings on Monday.

The Cajuns (34-4, 14-1 Sun Belt) remain in the top spot of the Collegiate Baseball rankings for the second straight week and third week overall.

Louisiana moved up one spot to No. 2 in the Baseball America, Perfect Game and NCBWA rankings and the USA Today Coaches Poll. The Ragin' Cajuns also had a first place vote in the coaches poll. The rankings mark a record high in each of the four polls.

The latest NCAA RPI will be released Tuesday. The Cajuns are No. 6 in the current RPI, which was released on April 8.

The squad returns to action this weekend with a three-game series at UT Arlington starting on Friday at 6:30 p.m. at Clay Gould Ballpark.
