Softball Continues Fall Season Wednesday at Lamson

LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns softball team continues its fall season on Wednesday, Oct. 28 hosting LSU-Eunice in an exhibition contest beginning at 6 p.m., at Lamson Park.
The contest will serve as the team's Breast Cancer Awareness Game.
Admission to the event is free and concessions will be sold. Parking is available in the Lamson Park and Bourgeois Hall parking lots.
The Ragin' Cajuns will wear pink shirts and encourage fans to wear pink also, in support of breast cancer awareness.
Breast cancer survivors will be recognized and honored prior to the game. Pink breast cancer awareness shirts will be on sale for those in attendance.
Louisiana and LSU-E are meeting for the second time this fall season. The Ragin' Cajuns faced the Bengals in the second half of a doubleheader, that also included LSU-Alexandria, in the fall season opener back on Oct. 17 in Eunice.
After Wednesday's game, Louisiana's final fall exhibition against outside competition takes place Thursday, Nov. 5 at Lamson Park against Lamar. The fall slate comes to a close on Saturday, Nov. 7 with an alumni game.
Head coach Michael Lotief welcomed back 28 players – including eight of the nine hitters in the starting lineup – from last season's Sun Belt Conference championship squad, which advanced to the program's fourth straight NCAA Super Regional. Seven freshmen were added to the roster in August and associate head coach Chris Malveaux and assistant coach Lana Bowers rejoined the coaching staff in July.
