LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns soccer team (7-6-1, 1-3 SBC) travels to Arkansas this weekend to play Arkansas State and Little Rock, looking to snap a three-match skid.
The Cajuns and Red Wolves of Arkansas State will begin play at 3 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 9 from the A-State Soccer Park. Louisiana and the Trojans of Little Rock end the weekend with a 1 p.m. matinee set for Sunday, Oct. 11 from the Coleman Sports and Recreation Complex.
Louisiana battled two of the Sun Belt Conference's best teams last weekend at home, pushing the South Alabama Jaguars to double overtime last Friday evening and falling narrowly to the Troy Trojans, 1-0 last Sunday.
Louisiana freshman goalkeeper Cosette Morche is currently ranked fifth in the Sun Belt Conference with three shutouts this season. The Lawrenceville, Ga. native is also first among Sun Belt Conference keepers in saves with 70.
