Cajuns close out West Coast trip with first trip to Malibu
MALIBU, Calif. – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns men's basketball team plays its final game on the road prior to opening Sun Belt Conference play next month when it faces West Coast Conference opponent Pepperdine on Friday at Firestone Fieldhouse.

Tipoff is scheduled for 9 p.m. CST. The game will be streamed live on TheW.tv and can also be heard in the Lafayette area on Hot 107.9-FM and ESPN 1420-AM.

Louisiana (3-5) looks to earn its first win on the road this season as it faces Pepperdine (6-4) for the first time ever at Firestone Fieldhouse. The Ragin' Cajuns opened their two-game trip to California with an 89-80 loss at No. 22 UCLA on Tuesday despite the 57th career double-double from Shawn Long (26 points, 16 rebounds).

Long, the NCAA active leader in double-doubles and rebounds (1,133), leads Louisiana in scoring (19.3), rebounds (12.1) and blocked shots (1.6) with Kasey Shepherd (12.4) and Jay Wright (11.3) following in the scoring column.

Louisiana enters the game against the Waves, leading the Sun Belt Conference and ranking fifth nationally in scoring (88.8) while leading the SBC in field goal percentage (.473).
