Cajuns Maintain No. 19 Ranking in Mid-Major Top 25 Poll

LAFAYETTE -- The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns women's basketball team held onto its spot at No. 19 in the latest CollegeInsider.com Women's Mid-Major Top 25 Poll, released Tuesday.Â
The Cajuns (5-1, 1-0 SBC) garnered 229 total points in this week's rankings after opening their Sun Belt Conference schedule with a 19-point road win at ULM last Thursday. Louisiana is one of three Sun Belt Conference schools among the Top 25 (No. 10 Arkansas State, No. 14 Little Rock).Â
Louisiana returns to action this Saturday, Dec. 12 for a non-conference matchup against Dillard. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m. at the Cajundome.Â
CollegeInsider.com Women's Mid-Major Top 25 is in its sixth season of existence. The Mid-Major Poll is made up of teams from the following conferences: America East, Atlantic Sun, Big Sky, Big South, Big West, Colonial, Horizon, Independents, Ivy, Metro Atlantic, Mid-American, Mid-Eastern, Missouri Valley, Northeast, Ohio Valley, Patriot, Southern, Southland, Southwestern, Summit, Sun Belt, West Coast and Western Athletic.
Season tickets for the 2015-16 campaign are available by calling the Cajundome ticket office at (337) 265-2100, or by emailing Director of Tickets, Matt Casbon at mcasbon@cajundome.com.
