Ragin' Cajuns Honor 2014 Team At Annual Award Banquet

Broadway, Quave, Ringo, Hamilton named team captains
LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns football team honored members of the winningest four-year class in the school's gridiron history on Saturday as the team held its annual Senior Award Football Banquet at the Cajundome Convention Center.
Seniors Terrance Broadway, Daniel Quave, Christian Ringo and Justin Hamilton were among the players honored for their contributions on the field as the quartet earned the Team Captain Award. Broadway and Quave were each presented Offensive MVP awards by former Ragin' Cajuns standout and current San Diego Chargers tight end Ladarius Green. Ringo and Hamilton were each presented the team Defensive MVP awards by former Ragin' Cajuns defensive back and Carolina Panthers star Melvin White.
Hunter Stover earned a pair of awards as he was named the Brian Mitchell – Most Valuable Specialist, along with earning the Orlando Thomas Courage Award. Larry Pettis and Alonzo Harris were each selected as recipients of the Robert E. Trahan Special Achievement Award with Marcus Jackson and Christian Sager each receiving the Hardy F. Edmiston, Jr. Sportsmanship Award.
Receiver James Butler was the recipient of the Gridiron Alumni Award with Donovan Williams (offense) and Taboris Lee (defense) being selected as the Ragin' Cajuns top newcomers.
The Ragin' Cajuns finished with a 9-4 record for the fourth consecutive season that was capped by a win in the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl. Louisiana placed a league-best eight players on the 2014 All-Sun Belt Conference team with Elijah McGuire being named the league's Player of the Year and Offensive Player of the Year.
