THE LAST TIME OUT
The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns overcame a cold-shooting first half to run by No. 8 seed Texas State in the quarterfinals of the Sun Belt Conference Tournament, 53-43, on Friday at Lakefront Arena.

Louisiana, the tournament's No. 4 seed, shot 45.8 percent in the second half after a first half that saw them put up just 18 points and shoot 17.9 percent from the field.

The win secures the 21st 20-win season in UL program history and the first back-to-back 20-win season since 2001-02 and 2002-03.

Kasey Shepherd poured in a game-high 16 points in 24 minutes off the Cajun bench, and Shawn Long became just the third player in Cajun history with 1,000 rebounds, pulling in a game-high 11. Long scored just six points for the game, but added a game-high four assists and four blocked shots.

Johnathan Stove was the only other Cajun to finish in double figures with 10 points, while fellow freshman Bryce Washington hauled in 10 rebounds to go with six points.

UP NEXT
