LAFAYETTE – Representatives from 31 NFL teams spent much of the day at the Leon Moncla Indoor Facility on Wednesday as the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns football team hosted its annual Pro Day workouts.
Fifteen members of the Ragin' Cajuns 2013-14 team were tested in the vertical and broad jumps, the 225-pound bench press, the 40-yard dash and various shuttle runs during the afternoon workout in preparation for next month's NFL Draft.
Among the Louisiana players to work out included: quarterback Terrance Broadway, running back Alonzo Harris, wide receiver James Butler, tight end Larry Pettis, offensive linemen Terry Johnson, Jarad Martin and Daniel Quave, linebacker Boris Anyama, defensive lineman Justin Hamilton, Marvin Martin and Christian Ringo, and defensive backs Sean Thomas and Corey Trim. Former Ragin' Cajuns Ian Thompson and Brandon McCray were also tested in various drills.
Many of the participants who went through workouts on Wednesday spent much of their time in Lafayette after the 2014 season working with the Louisiana strength and conditioning staff, led by Rusty Whitt.
Louisiana, which finished 9-4 last season and captured its fourth consecutive R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl title, will return to spring practice on Thursday at 3:45 p.m. before holding its annual Red-White Spring Game on Saturday at 5 p.m. at Cajun Field.
