FOR STARTERS
With tournament berth and a first-round bye already in its clutches, the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns will try to keep the momentum of its current five-game win streak going when it goes for a season sweep of Arkansas State on Saturday at the Convocation Center in the regular season finale.

THE LAST TIME OUT
The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns hit 22-for-23 from the foul line, including 17-for-17 in the second half, and held off a UALR squad that wouldn't go away, 75-69, on Thursday night at the Cajundome.

The win was the fifth in a row for the Cajuns, its longest win streak of the season. Louisiana also clinched the No. 4 seed in next week's Sun Belt Conference Tournament, a seed that assures the Cajuns a bye into the tournament quarterfinals.

The Cajuns will play at 5:00 p.m. at Lakefront Arena in New Orleans, La., against the winner of Thursday's opening-round meeting of the No. 5 and No. 8 seed.

Devonta Walker led UL with 15 points and five rebounds on the night, hitting 9-of-10 from the foul line, including going 8-for-8 from the stripe in the final 33 seconds to help stave off the Trojans.

But Walker was one of just 10 Cajuns in the scoring column with every player seeing the court, getting at least one bucket. Jay Wright reached double figures for the fifth straight game with 14 points, while Shawn Long just missed a double-double with 13 points and nine rebounds.

UP NEXT
The Ragin' Cajuns will make their way to the SBC Tournament at Lakefront Arena in New Orleans, beginning Friday, March 12. UL will be the No. 4 seed in the tournament and will play at 5:00 p.m. on Friday against the winner of the opening-round matchup between the tournament's No. 5 and No. 8 seeds.

QUICK HITS
• Thursday was the 12th straight game for the Cajuns to hit at least five or more three-point buckets, and the fourth straight game with at least eight. During their current five-game win streak, UL is 44-110 (.400) from beyond the three-point arc.

• Louisiana picked up its fifth straight win on Thursday against UALR, its longest win streak of the season and the longest current win streak of any team in the Sun Belt Conference.

• The Cajuns went 22-for-23 (.957) on Thursday, their best foul shooting game of the season. It was also the best night at the foul line for the team since going a perfect 12-for-12 against San Francisco in 2011.

• The Cajuns' win over UALR on Thursday, coupled with UT Arlington's loss to Georgia Southern locked UL into the No. 4 seed in next week's SBC Tournament. The Cajuns will have a bye to the tournament quarterfinals, playing Friday at 5:00 p.m. vs either the tournament's No. 5 or No. 8 seed.

Shawn Long is one of only three players in the country averaging at least 17.0 ppg and 10.0 rpg, joined by Desharick Guidry (McNeese State) and Jerome Hill (Gardner-Webb).
