NEW ORLEANS, La. –
The 2015 Sun Belt Conference Women's Tennis Championship bracket has been finalized with the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns entering the event as the No. 9 seed with action set to begin from the City Park Tennis Center this Thursday.

The No. 9 Cajuns will square off with No. 8 Texas State in the opening round at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday.  The winner will move on to face top-seeded South Alabama at 8:00 a.m. on Friday in the tournament quarterfinals.

On the other side of the bracket, No. 7 Appalachian State and No. 10 Arkansas State will face off in opening-round play for the right to battle No. 2 Georgia State in the quarterfinals.

The rest of the bracket includes No. 4 ULM against No. 5 Georgia Southern and No. 3 UT Arlington against No. 6 Troy, both in quarterfinal action set for Friday morning.

The Cajuns dropped a pair of non-conference matches over the weekend at North Florida and Central Florida, but fared well in their last SBC match, snapping a 13-match losing skid with a 4-2 win over Arkansas State on April 4 in Arlington.

Louisiana is led by freshman Kelly Drew, who enters the tournament with a 9-6 singles record in her first year with the Cajuns with six of the nine wins coming in the top two spots in the lineup. The Cajuns also sport a pair of doubles teams with four victories with Nelo Phiri and Elena Sava having pulled out four wins at No. 1 doubles, and Abby Johnson and Alexandra Way having picked up four wins as well.

A year ago the Cajuns entered the tournament on a five-match losing skid, but quickly put that to rest by advancing out of the opening round with a 4-0 victory over No. 9 Western Kentucky before falling top-seeded and eventual champion Georgia State in the following round.
