Louisiana Golf Set To Close Out Regular Season At Old Waverly Collegiate Championship

WEST POINT, Miss. – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns golf team will close out the 2014-15 regular season this week as the squad tees off at the Old Waverly Collegiate Championship hosted at the par-72, 7,088-yard Old Waverly Golf Club.
Action gets underway Monday at 8:30 a.m. with a shotgun start as the teams will play 36 holes on the first day. The final round will be played on Tueday. Live scoring for the event can be found on BirdieFire.com.
Host Mississippi State, Chattanooga, Cincinnati, Florida, Kansas, Louisiana, Louisiana Tech, Memphis, Ole Miss, South Alabama, Southeastern Louisiana, Southern Miss, Troy, UAB and UNC-Greensboro make up the 15-team field.
Haraldur Magnus, Thomas Strandemo, Christian Verrougstraete, Ross Davis and Louis Kelly making up the Cajuns lineup for the event with sophomore Ferando Cruz Valle competing in Peru in a national amateur event. Magnus leads the team with a 72.96 scoring average through 27 round.s
Following the Old Waverly Collegiate Championship, the Cajuns will head to the 2015 Sun Belt Championship hosted at the Raven Golf Course in Miramar Beach, Fla. from April 19-21.
