Tuesday's Contest at Sam Houston State Canceled

LAFAYETTE - Tuesday's scheduled softball game in Huntsville, Texas, between the No. 12 Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns softball team and Sam Houston State has been canceled, both athletic departments announced on Monday.
Both coaching staffs agreed upon the decision in order to better prepare for their team's respective weekend series. With inclement weather a possibility in the region later in the week, the coaching staffs wanted to have an adequate number of days of outdoor preparation prior to the weekend.
No. 12 Louisiana (30-5) is set to host No. 15 Baylor (27-7) in a three-game series Friday-Saturday, April 10-11 at Lamson Park. The series begins with a 6 p.m., single game on Friday and concludes with a 1 p.m., doubleheader on Saturday. The Ragin' Cajuns senior class is being honored prior to the start of Saturday's doubleheader.
The Baylor series and next Wednesday's single game with Houston (April 15) mark the final regular season games at Lamson Park on the 2015 schedule.
