THIBODAUX, La. – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns baseball team is set to close the regular season with a four-game road swing starting at 6 p.m. on Tuesday as the Cajuns face Nicholls State at Didier Field.

The game can be heard live on ESPN 1420-AM with Jay Walker making the call. Live stats and video are available on RaginCajuns.com.

The Ragin' Cajuns (31-19, 15-11 Sun Belt) are coming off of a 1-2 weekend against South Alabama that saw the squad drop the first two games of the series 5-0 and 4-3 before coming away with a 3-2 victory in the series finale. Junior Brenn Conrad delivered a two-out, two-run single to lift the Cajuns to the win on Sunday.

Louisiana will give junior right-hander Will Bacon the nod on the mound against the Colonels. The start is the fourth of the season for Bacon who is 3-2 with a 3.10 ERA in 20 appearances.

Offensively, The Cajuns are hitting .276 with 92 doubles, 10 triples and 45 home runs. Louisiana leads the Sun Belt in both home runs and slugging. Four players on the squad are hitting over .300 on the season led by junior shortstop Blake Trahan. Trahan has a .351 average with a team-high 14 doubles and 25 RBI.

Junior second baseman Stefan Trosclair has a team-best 12 home runs and 35 RBI, while senior Tyler GIrouard is second on the team in average hitting .342 on the year with 14 doubles, three homers and 21 RBI.

The Ragin' Cajuns lead the all-time series with Nicholls State 69-52-1 despite dropping a 3-1 decision to the Colonels earlier this season at M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field. Louisiana has won 17 of the last 22 meetings in the series.

Nicholls State (32-16-1, 17-10 Southland) is in third place in the Southland after winning 13 of its last 15 games. The Colonels are currently riding an eight-game win streak coming off of a sweep of New Orleans. NSU won the first game of the series 5-3 before taking 5-1 and 6-0 decisions to close out the weekend.

The Colonels have the fourth lowest ERA in the country with a 2.35 ERA through 49 games. Junior right-hander Marc Frazier will make the start for Nicholls State. Frazier is 3-5 with a 3.44 ERA in 17 games including 10 starts. He has 53 strikeouts and 23 walks in 65.1 innings.
