LAFAYETTE, La. – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns volleyball team closed the book on the 2014 season last week at its annual awards banquet as the team honored its four-member senior class and handed out its annual team awards.

The team honored its four seniors – Andrea Hole, Kelly Wiesmann, Caitlyn Auxilien and Kaylee Nemeth – with a framed jersey before moving on to awards. Freshman Stacey Reilly was named the team's Freshman of the Year after opening her career with a season that saw her start 33 matches and average 1.97 kills and 2.56 digs per set.

Junior outside hitter Sara Mosakowski was honored with the Most Improved Player award after setting career highs in kills, service aces and digs while Auxilien was named the team's Defensive Player of the Year after ranking in the top 10 in the Sun Belt Conference in digs.

Hole, the 2014 LSWA Player of the Year, snagged a pair of team awards in earning both the offensive and overall player of the year honors. She finished second in the SBC with 23 double-doubles and was a mainstay at the setter position throughout the season.

Nemeth took home the night's most coveted awards, Ragin' Cajun of the Year, after averaging a career-high 2.18 kills per set and finishing second on the team with a .245 attack percentage.

The Ragin' Cajuns went 20-13 in 2014, the first 20-win season for the program since 1990.
