Kickoff Time Set for Cajuns-Wildcats Season Opener

Teams will meet for first time at renovated Commonwealth Stadium
LAFAYETTE - The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns football team's season opener at Kentucky, scheduled for Sept. 5 in Lexington, Ky., has been scheduled for a 6 p.m. CDT kickoff and will be televised nationally on ESPNU, the Southeastern Conference announced on Thursday as the league released television coverage for the first three weeks of the season.
The Cajuns-Wildcats matchup is one of four games that have been confirmed for national television coverage with the Ragin' Cajuns game at Arkansas State (Oct. 20) set for 7 p.m. on ESPN2, with their Nov. 12 game at South Alabama scheduled for a 6:30 p.m. start with coverage on ESPNU. Earlier this week, Louisiana's road contest at Lousiana Tech, scheduled for Oct. 3 in Ruston, was chosen for coverage by the American Sports Network (ASN) with the teams scheduled to face off in a 6 p.m. contest.
Louisiana's home opener on Sept. 12 at Cajun Field against Northwestern State is scheduled for a 6 p.m. start and will televised on ESPN3. The rest of Louisiana's start times will be announced at a later date.
