Softball Announces Dates for Prospect Camps

LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns softball program is hosting three prospect camps, starting in July, at Lamson Park.
The July camp is scheduled for Tuesday-Wednesday, July 14-15. Individuals can choose from one of three sessions: Tuesday only 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Wednesday only 9 a.m.-5 p.m., or Tuesday 1 p.m.-5 p.m./Wednesday 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
A camp in August is set for Tuesday, Aug. 4 and the third prospect camp occurs during Thanksgiving week on Monday, Nov. 23, both utilizing a 9 a.m.-5 p.m. schedule.
The Ragin' Cajuns Softball Prospect Camps are an opportunity for high school players (freshman to senior) and junior college players to participate in a showcase setting in front of the entire Ragin' Cajuns coaching staff.
To reserve a spot in one of the prospect camps send an email to softball@louisiana.edu.
Cost of the camp is $100. Registration and payment will take place at Lamson Park on the morning of the camp or at the Leon Moncla Indoor Practice facility in the event of inclement weather.
All position players will take part in a defensive session and batting practice. Pitchers will get a chance to show and discuss their spins. Following lunch, pitchers will throw to hitters in a controlled game.
