Football Announces Pair Of Dismissals

LAFAYETTE – Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns head football coach Mark Hudspeth announced on Tuesday that defensive lineman Marquis White and receiver C.J. Bates have been dismissed from the program due to a violation of team rules.

White, a native of Orlando, Fla., played in nine games last season for the Ragin' Cajuns and recorded 16 tackles on the season. Bates, a native of Louisville, Miss., appeared in all 13 games last season and caught 12 passes with one touchdown.

"C.J. and Marquis are no longer members of our football team," Hudspeth said. "We wish them well in their future endeavors."

Hudspeth stated that he will have no further comment on the matter.
