WACO, Texas – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns soccer team (4-2) takes their match win streak to Waco, Texas for the Baylor University Tournament this weekend. The Cajuns will play UTSA on Friday, Sept. 11 at 4 p.m. and Northern Illinois on Sunday, Sept. 13 for a 1 p.m. kickoff at Betty Lou Mays Soccer Field.

Louisiana put back-to-back strong performances together last week, blanking in-state foes McNeese State and Northwestern State, both 1-0 victories. Senior defender Claire Ruehle and sophomore midfielder Ashleigh Cade delivered the match-winning goals for the Cajuns, their first scores of the season.

Junior forward Yazmin Montoya remains on the doorstep of becoming the program's all-time leader in several categories. She owns 50 career points and is three shy of passing Courtney Hofland for the most in school history. The West Covina, Calif., native has 20 career goals and stands two away from moving ahead of Kelli Jestes, and has 10 assists, three short from setting a new program benchmark.Â

* Freshman goalkeeper Cosette Morche saved nine shots in two starts last week, keeping her in the lead among Sun Belt Conference keepers with 39 saves through six matches.

* The Cajuns are the only team in the Sun Belt Conference that has not been issued a yellow card this season. South Alabama leads the conference with eight yellow cards.

* Junior forward Yazmin Montoya enters this week tied for fourth in the Sun Belt Conference with three assists.

* Montoya is on the verge of moving into first place on the Cajuns' all-time list in several categories. She is tied for second in points (50), tied for second in goals (20) and tied for second in assists (10) in the Ragin' Cajuns record books. She needs three points and three assists to pass Courtney Hofland as the program's all-time leader in both categories, and two scores to pass Kelli Jestes as the all-time leader in goals.

* UTSA dropped a pair of matches on the road last week at Texas Tech and at Oklahoma.

* The Roadrunner offense is paced by senior midfielder Savannah Struck who has two goals for four points this season. Three other players (senior Lauren Hodgdon, freshman Sam Batley, freshman Olivia Nicholls) have one goal apiece. Freshman defender Cailey Elder leads UTSA with two assists.

* Three players have seen time at goalkeeper for UTSA in 2015. Junior Katherine Tesno (0-3) has started four of the five matches while freshman Michelle Cole (0-1) owns the other start. * The Huskies lost their only outing last week at home against Milwaukee, 2-1.

Four other Huskies (freshman Taylor Sarver, sophomore Marisa Knott, redshirt junior Mackenzie Lewis, redshirt freshman Cassidy Page) own a goal each. Gobbo is first in shot attempts with 19, 10 coming on-goal.

* Sophomore Amy Annala (1-3) and freshman Mackenzie Lee (0-1) have shared time at goalkeeper. Annala has started four matches, logging 337:52 minutes and saving 19 shots. Her GAA stands at 1.86. Lee has played in 112:08 minutes, saving four shots, while allowing four goals (3.21 GAA).
