Cajuns Baseball Named Top 30 Modern Era Program By D1Baseball

LAFAYETTE - The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns baseball team was named one of the top 30 college baseball programs of the modern era by D1Baseball, the publication announced on Friday.
The Cajuns were tabbed the No. 30 program on the list which assesses the overall health of programs based on recent history, coaching staff quality, facilities, scholarship/financial aid situation, conference dynamics and recruiting and player development proficiency.
Louisiana is one of only three programs in the country to post 100 wins in the last two seasons. The Ragin' Cajuns also are one of only six to reach the NCAA Super Regionals in the past two years.
The squad opens the 2016 campaign on Feb. 19-21 at M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field as the Cajuns host Sam Houston State.
