Men’s Tennis Kicks Off Fall Season with Cajun Tennis Classic

LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Men's Tennis team will begin the 2015 fall season on their home soil at the Cajun Tennis Classic from Thursday, Sept. 24-Sunday, Sept. 27 at Cajun Courts.
The tournament features four Top 10-ranked teams (#2 Oklahoma, #4 TCU, #7 USC, #8 Georgia) and three others ranked in the Top 30 (#17 Ole Miss, #29 Oklahoma State, #30 LSU). The tournament includes a 32-player singles draw and a 16-team doubles draw.
"For a lot of guys it's their first tournament," Ragin' Cajuns head coach Mark Jeffrey said. "This is an opportunity for them to get their feet wet and take it one step at a time. We are looking for them to get out there and compete for every single point.
"It's great for these teams to come to our place and compete here. It's a big advantage for our guys to be able to sleep in their own beds and not have to worry about traveling. We are looking forward to having everyone here in Lafayette for this tournament."
