Reminders for Football Game against Akron

Leading up to the football game on Saturday against Akron, there are a couple of reminders for fans for the remainder of the season coming to the games.

All parking areas around Cajun Field are reserved parking. A pass is required to enter into any parking gate at Cajun Field. Fans without passes will be directed to the grass lot behind the LITE Center (accessible from Devalcourt Street) or to the grass lot behind the Hilton Garden Inn (accessible from Cajundome Boulevard).

In addition, all parking gates into Cajun Field are right turn only coming from Bertrand Drive/North College Road or Congress Street. All passholders are encouraged to come from Bertrand Drive/North College or Congress Street from Lafayette High area to get to Cajun Field.

If you do not have a pass coming from the Lafayette High area, you will be directed to turn left onto Bertrand to get to Devalcourt for general parking in the two grass lots. If you do not have a pass coming from the Lafayette Middle School area, you will be directed to turn right onto Cajundome Boulevard for general parking into the two grass lots. The Blackham Coliseum lots, "Cabbage Patch" grass lot off of Coliseum Road, the Lourdes' parking tower, and main campus may be used for overflow as the two grass lots fill up and depending on the weather.

Passes will begin being hole punched at 12 PM at all the parking gates. The earliest that the Borden's Gate 1 will close is 1 PM depending on foot traffic on Stadium Road and Reinhardt Drive. This will be monitored to allow the latest time possible for the Borden's Gate 1 to remain open, while still ensuring the safety of fans walking on Reinhardt Drive. All passes will be direct to other gates for entry once Borden's Gate 1, Reinhardt Drive, and Stadium Road close. Please see the list below for the following pass access at the Cajun Field gates:

Borden's Gate 1: TG1, TG2
Moncla Gate 2: TG1, TG2, TG3, D
Frank's Gate 3: TG7, TG8, TT, A, B, C, D
Mello Gate 4: TG4, TG5, RV, A, B, C, D

Tailgating passes will continue to be let into the entrance gates throughout the day. Access to the tailgating areas will not be stopped. However, the TG access pass does not allow parking in any parking lots around Cajun Field. Tailgating access passholders will be allowed to use their TG pass only to access their tailgating spot. Tailgaters can park within their space with their TG pass only if room permits with the access pass. Tailgaters that want to park in any of the RCAF lots, must use their RCAF pass to park. Vehicles parked in the RCAF lots without the RCAF pass will be towed.

Fans are encouraged to travel light to the game and to use other gate entrances getting into Cajun Field. Bags larger than 14"x10"x10"and backpacks are not allowed in Cajun Field. Please see the Gameday Central page for more information on prohibited items.
