Home game against Idaho, first-ever trip to Statesboro new to Cajuns SBC schedule

NEW ORLEANS – The Sun Belt Conference announced on Friday the conference opponents each of the league's 11 members will face in the 2016 football season.

Louisiana will host Appalachian State, Arkansas State, Idaho and South Alabama in SBC games at Cajun Field. The Ragin' Cajuns will make trips to Georgia Southern, ULM, New Mexico State and Texas State.

The complete 2016 Sun Belt schedule, with official dates, will be released on March 1.

The Ragin' Cajuns will open the 2016 season at home against Boise State on Sept. 3 and will host McNeese State on Sept. 10. Louisiana will also face non-conference foes Tulane (Oct. 8) and Georgia (Nov. 19).
