Ragin' Cajuns Hold Annual Football Banquet

McGuire, Tovell, Coutts named team MVPs
LAFAYETTE – Head football coach Mark Hudspeth and the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns football staff honored members for outstanding achievement during the annual Senior Award Football Banquet that was held on Saturday at the UL Lafayette Student Union.

Senior Effrem Reed was the recipient of the Orlando Thomas Courage Award with Evan Tatford being honored with the Hardy F. Edmistion, Jr., Sportsmanship Award and Octravian Anderson the Robert E. Trahan Special Achievement Award.

Elijah McGuire (Offense), Dominique Tovell (defense) and Steven Coutts (special teams) each earned MVP awards with Zachary DeGrange and Donovan Williams earning the Gridiron Alumni Award.

University President Dr. Joseph Savoie and Director of Athletics Scott Farmer were presented with the 12th Man Award.
