Time Changes Announced For Cajuns-UTA Doubleheader

Jan. 30 doubleheader moved up two hours to 2/4:15 p.m. starts
LAFAYETTE – With Lafayette's first Mardi Gras parade scheduled for Saturday night, the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns athletic department has announced that start times for its basketball doubleheader against UT Arlington at the Cajundome has been moved up two hours.

Tipoff for the women's game between Louisiana and UTA, originally scheduled for 4 p.m., will be at 2. The men's game between the Ragin' Cajuns and Mavs, originally scheduled for 6:15 p.m., will start at 4:15.

With the Krewe of Carnivale en Rio Parade slated to roll through Lafayette and ending at nearby Cajun Field, officials decided to move the doubleheader up to avoid traffic congestion and give fans the opportunity to attend all of Saturday's events.

Louisiana currently leads the Sun Belt Conference in men's basketball attendance (3,931), which was paced by a season-high crowd of 6,064 in last Saturday's game against Troy. The Ragin' Cajuns women's team is averaging 1,123 per game with their last game against Troy marking the second-largest crowd (1,292) of the season.

Mini Plan tickets are currently available where fans can purchase as many conference games as they want (minimum of five games). Tickets for $12 per seat are available in the first and second level of the Cajundome, with $7 tickets available in the second-level curve area and $5 for seats in the third level.

Fans can also purchase the McDonald's Family Fun Pack for $20 (a savings of approximately $32) at every home conference game. Each Fun Pack includes four tickets in the 300-level for each Sun Belt Conference game as well as a coupon to redeem at McDonald's for four free Extra Value Meals.
