Cajuns Remain at No. 22 in Top 25 Mid-Major Poll

LAFAYETTE -- The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns women's basketball team maintained it's hold on the 22nd spot in the CollegeInsider.com Top 25 Women's Mid-Major rankings, released on Tuesday.
The Cajuns (14-3, 7-1 SBC) garnered 113 points in this week's batch of rankings. Louisiana extended its win streak to four games with a pair of wins at home against South Alabama and Troy last week. Louisiana is off to its best conference start in program history and are a half-game behind Arkansas State for first place in the Sun Belt Conference standings.
The Cajuns and Arkansas State (No. 10) are one of two Sun Belt Conference schools among the Top 25 in this week's rankings.Â
Louisiana will host Texas State and UT Arlington this week at home. Tip-off against Texas State is Thursday, Jan. 28 at 5 p.m., while Saturday's matchup with UT Arlington is slated for 2 p.m.

The Mid-Major Poll is made up of teams from the following conferences: America East, Atlantic Sun, Big Sky, Big South, Big West, Colonial, Horizon, Independents, Ivy, Metro Atlantic, Mid-American, Mid-Eastern, Missouri Valley, Northeast, Ohio Valley, Patriot, Southern, Southland, Southwestern, Summit, Sun Belt, West Coast and Western Athletic.
